How to Avoid Water Damage to Your Home

The good news is that the snow is melting and we’re seeing some 50-degree temperatures! But when rain comes with the snowmelt, be sure all the water has some place to go instead of inside your home. Puddles of water around your foundation can seep through walls into basements and garages. To avoid water damage to your home, be sure your spouting is clear of clogs and any ice or debris that may have gotten trapped inside them during the cold winter. Be sure the drain ends of the spouting are cleared so the water can flow out and that there is no snow or mud is blocking the water flow away from the house.
