Winterize Your Central Air Conditioning Unit

Protecting your AC unit now can save you money next summer.

Clear away any leaves or debris that are in, on or around the unit, so they don’t get inside where they could clog the moveable parts when you go to use it next year. Then purchase a waterproof AC unit cover to protect it all winter long. Be sure your cover fits well If it doesn’t, use bungee cords or ties on the cover to keepit in place during winter storms and winds.
