Since the question only allows for one answer, I feel as if it must be the thing that defines all subsequent things—I could start listing many particulars that I find beneficial (such as pay, benefits, the team, etc.), but after all, those particular things only exist (whether good or bad) because of the motive that lies behind them. At Summers & Zim’s, the motive is that of both quality and servanthood. How can we — a company centered around the mechanicals — both perfect and utilize this craft as a mechanism through which to serve those around us? Although we do not always do this perfectly (who can?), this is a frequently asked question and a relentless pursuit. So naturally, my favorite part about working at Summers & Zim’s is not only seeing this motive in motion—but being invited to participate in it.

I love spending time with my family, being involved in my local church body and participating in any outdoor related activities.

My wife Karis and I live in Willow Street, Pa. We have two sons, Monty & Lewis, and a daughter, Eden.
