The Right Landscaping Can Save Water

April 4, 2013

As you start thinking about new landscaping for your yard this spring, keep in mind that the plants you choose can affect your water usage.

Choosing plants that have low water requirements means your plants will stay healthy with normal amounts of rain, and if there are dry spells, you’ll water less often. When putting in new plants, be sure to include little trenches at the plants where water will collect and slowly filter into the ground. You’ll not only save water usage, you’ll also save time from constant watering of outdoor plants.
